In Culiacán, in an operation carried out by federal authorities, Ovidio Guzmán, son of Joaquín El Chapo Guzmán Loera, was arrested. The information was confirmed by security authorities.
The information obtained by the news outlet La Jornada indicates that Ovidio Guzmán, identified as one of the main producers and distributors of fentanyl, and one of the leaders of the Sinaloa Cartel would have been captured during an operation carried out this morning in the community of Jesús Maria.
The alleged detention generated blockades in different streets of Culiacán, among them, in the avenues Constitución and Calzada Heroico Colegio Militar next to the ISSSTE Hospital, Exit North Espacios Barcelona, Lila Beltrán and Arjona in UdeO and del Sauz at the height of Huizache .
