The French defender proves to be reliable as always in his role: the scoreboard of the first part of the season
A player whose contract is about to expire (we are talking about his renewal with Torino), but who has proved to be reliable at the start of the season, as for all of last season, is Koffi Djidji. Repurchased by Nantes in 2019 for 3 million euros, he was subsequently involved in the grenade, ending up on loan at Crotone, last in Serie A, without even being a starter. Then on his way he found a coach who resurrected him, making him a starter and who had full faith in him: Ivan Juric. The 29-year-old is probably one of the players most valued by the Croatian coach.
Djidji, a first part of the championship in the name of continuity
So far, the defender has totaled 14 appearances in the league and cup, topped off with a very important goal against Milan and above all, the number 26 has picked up 0 bookings. Only two games on the bench in the league (against Udinese and Sampdoria): for the rest always owner, reliable, tough to deal with. The only stain was that of the last match, where by spreading Dybala in the area he caused a penalty kick, then missed by Belotti, before Matic’s equalizer for the Giallorossi. No other mistakes this year, he’s proving to be an excellent defender in the right arm of the defense at 3. His performances against Monza, Cremonese and Lecce were also excellent at the start of the season.
