In Lens, in the Pas-de-Calais, an itinerant truck, called “digitruck”, offers training and training for residents wishing to develop their knowledge and better use their computer or smartphone.

13 million French people are destitute and lost in front of a computer. This handicap mainly affects young people with little qualifications or seniors. So in Pas-de-Calais, at the moment, Guillaume Trouille, director of Simplon Hauts-de-France, wants to move the lines. “This ‘digitruck’ is a container fitted out as a learning room and which moves from town to town to help residents make good use of their computer and smartphone.” The truck is currently in Lens (Pas-de-Calais), but it will then take the road to Roubaix (Nord).

A real traveling classroom, with workshops and two-hour training sessions. The process is free and open to everyone. Young people present, in their twenties, are looking for a job and do not necessarily have the codes. They are accompanied by a trainer. Passers-by can also receive help, in particular to surf the web with their smartphone.
