Persona 6 is officially in development on PS5 (at least), but since then it’s been dead calm. Could we have a trailer or even information about the game next month during an event dedicated to the franchise?
As Persona 5 Royal arrives on PS5, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch, fans are thinking more about the future and above all have one word in their mouths: Persona 6. But when will the presentation be? There will be disappointments!
An announcement in October for Persona 6?
On October 8 and 9, the Persona Super Live P-Sound Wish 2022 concert will take place. A good opportunity for Japanese and foreigners on site to clean their ears with the magical music of the franchise.
But the Japanese publisher Atlus warns “Please note that there will be no new game announcements during this live event”, he warns on the concert site. Translation: forget Persona 6. So why were fans expecting anything new on the next installment? This performance has already been the scene of important announcements. In 2017, there were Persona 5 Dancing in Starlight, Persona 3 Dancing in Moonlight and Persona Q2 New Cinema Labyrinth. And in 2019, P5R.
The developers of P6 know they are expected at the turn and are already putting a lot of pressure on themselves, but will take all the time it takes to release an even better episode than the previous ones. P5R included. As for changing the formula to cast a wide net, that’s out of the question:
I try not to think about international sales. I rather think that foreign players are looking for this Japanese spirit in our games. Although the main character of Persona 5 is a high school student, all of his daily life is not necessarily understandable. But I think Atlus represents Japanese culture to them, and that brings us closer together.

And if you want Persona 6 on Switch and Xbox Series, it’s up to you to make your voice heard.
