“Currently, this disease is present throughout the world and is caused by a spirochete bacterium called leptospira. The contagion originates from consuming water contaminated with the urine of an infected animal or is also caused by direct contact of this water with an open wound. The leptospirosis It can be transmitted to humans through contact with the urine or blood of infected animals. WHAT SHOULD YOU CONSIDER?
● Symptoms. They are very varied and on many occasions they are similar to infectious diseases; however, its evolution and outcome is much faster, so the most common symptoms are: high fever, vomiting, diarrhoea, dark urine, acute kidney failure, severe dehydration, tiredness and congestion of the mucous membranes.
