Pokémon: a new main game in 2022, revealed in June according to a leaker

Trainers around the world are currently focused on Pokémon Legends: Arceus, a Nintendo Switch spin-off that will take them on a journey through a Sinnoh of the past. However, The Pokémon Company may also have more in store for them, at least according to what a well-known leaker said.

In one of his recent tweets, leaker and insider Samus Hunter, known for being very close to the world of Nintendo, teased the arrival of a new main game in the Pokémon series in fiscal year 2022. The official announcement would be expected in June, although he believes that some information will probably arrive in the months immediately preceding it. The latest exponents of the main series, Pokémon Sword and Shield, were launched in 2019, so the timing would return. In recent history, 3 years have always elapsed between the different generations: Black and White in 2010, X and Y in 2013, Sun and Moon in 2016 and Spada and Scudo, in fact, in 2019.

Samus Hunter also made it known that in the next few months some could also arrive on the market spin-off for mobile devices and consoles, which could also include something related to Detective Pikachu. According to the tales of the leaker, who promised to keep us updated in the coming months, the future seems to be really bright for all the fans of the most famous monsters on the planet, but clearly we advise you to take this information with a grain of salt, since nothing of all this appears to be officially confirmed.

Of course, there’s only Pokémon Legends: Arceus, out exclusively on Nintendo Switch on January 28, 2022. Check out our preview of Pokémon Legends: Arceus to find out more.
