On Nintendo Switch, the new Pokémon game is being pulverized by critics. The title has an extremely low score on Metacritic. Blame it on dated graphics, numerous bugs and major performance shortcomings.
Pokemon Scarlet and Purple are the two new games from Game Freak released on Nintendo Switch last week. While thousands of trainers are currently catching them all in the Paldea region, thousands more have already given up.
On Metacriticthe youngest of Game Freak is made pulverized by criticism. The game displays a user score of 2.8 out of 10 at the time of this writing. To provide some context, its predecessor, Pokemon Legends: Arceusdespite its flaws, boasts a rating of 8.2.
Catastrophic performance and laughable graphics
When players are dissatisfied, they develop a tendency to make review bombing, which consists of mass badly rating a game that they consider bad, especially when it is released. A rampage that will have placed the ninth generation of Pokémon games at the bottom of the scores of users of Metacritic.

Hopefully Game Freak will eventually fix all those annoying little issues. Unless, of course, the problems boil down to the Nintendo Switch hardware itself, which is already 5 years old. In the meantime, the players are disappointed, and the review bombing keep on going.
