Police: Seriously injured after an accident in Issum

In Issum there was a serious accident on the B 58. Two people were seriously injured, a five-year-old child slightly.

A serious accident occurred on the federal highway 58 in Issum on Sunday afternoon. According to the police, a 48-year-old driver from Geldern drove her Renault on the federal highway 58 from Issum in the direction of the BAB 57 and intended to turn left onto a private road. This resulted in a collision with an oncoming BMW in which four people were sitting.

Federal road 58 in Issum closed for a long time

The driver of the Renault suffered serious injuries and the driver of the BMW suffered minor injuries in the accident. The 39-year-old passenger in the BMW was taken to a special clinic by rescue helicopter due to the severity of his injuries. A five-year-old child who was also in the BMW was slightly injured. The total property damage is estimated at around 50,000 euros. The scene of the accident was closed for three and a half hours.
