Prince William turns 40 – As a father, he is already king

He’s second in line to the throne, but he’s number one for his children!

England’s Prince William is celebrating his 40th birthday today – far from protocol, as a dad. Unlike his own father, Prince Charles (73), he is there for his offspring (8, 7, 4), always close by. Whether raging on the lawn or protective on the first day of school.

“I’m very focused on my role as a father,” William once told the BBC. “I want to show my children as much love as I can.”

And that also on official dates! The great happiness with his little ones has made him more emotional: “You realize how precious life is. The thought of not seeing her grow up is terrifying.”

William is ready for his role as future king: “But I don’t look forward to the moment …”

BECAUSE: “In our small cosmos we are a completely normal family.”
