PS5: the French State will sell Sony consoles

Sony’s PS5 will soon be celebrating its 2nd birthday, however, the latter is still out of stock and the few copies that are sold on rare sites are leaving in record time. Major shortages of components are still responsible for this lack of stock that annoys many players.

If you are looking for the precious object, know that the French State will soon be selling it! This will be the perfect time to crack.

A PS5 at 400€? Or a machine with six games and two controllers at 450€? These are indeed announcements that the French State will put up for auction at the beginning of October. AGRASC (the agency for the management and recovery of seized and confiscated assets) has announced the organization of a large auction in Lyon and Marseille, via the Drouot house, on October 4 and 5, 2022.

In this sale, it will be possible to acquire many objects and goods confiscated by Justice such as luxury cars, watches, or even video game consoles including the PS5. According to the official AGRASC press release: “more than 200 goods of a very different nature will be offered in each sale: prestige vehicles (Chevrolet Corvette, Ferrari, Jaguar, Porsche…), jewellery, gold coins, diamonds and watches (Rolex, Vacheron Constantin, etc.), leather goods, paintings and many other prizes”.

Among the lots, we find two announcements for a PS5. A first, with the console and a controller offered at a price of €400 (i.e. €150 less than the price displayed in shops). A second more interesting announcement is available with two DualSense controllers, a 2TB hard drive and six games including:

  • Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart
  • Marvel Spider-Man Miles Morales
  • Resident Evil Village
  • Watch Dogs Legion
  • Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut
  • Hitman 3

This offer is also offered at 400€. Remember, however, that this is an auction and that prices are likely to rise. But if you want to participate, you can register right here.
