Game news PS5: the studio behind Hell Let Loose “amazed” by the DualSense controller

The DualSense is definitely one of the big arguments of the PS5 and some developers are particularly seduced, like the boss of the firm behind Hell Let Loose.
Hell Let Loose is gaining huge popularity right now, and for good reason: after years of preparation, its ultra-demanding multiplayer experience in the midst of World War II is one of the “free” games on PlayStation Plus for this month of October 2021. He is even the figurehead since he is THE PS5 title of the month, ahead of the other two apps available on PlayStation 4.
In order to prepare for the arrival of the title on this platform, Black Matter Pty Ltd has therefore made sure to use as well as it could, and with the limited resources in its power, the performance of the PS5. Among others, he therefore used the haptic vibrations of the DualSense controller to transcribe many sensations, such as the surrounding explosions, with pretty precision.
The main studio flabbergasted by the DualSense
Except that in reality, it was not Black Matter who took care of programming the DualSense but Flix, an external studio and partner that the firm asked for support. Black Matter CEO Max Rea also experimented with DualSense on Hell Let Loose for the very first time recently, during the last stages of testing the game on PS5, he told The Loadout. “I only experienced it recently in private testing and it was absolutely phenomenal.”
Better yet, Flix would still be in charge to further refine the haptic feedback. Max Rea claims to have given them carte blanche to be “Also creative” that they want it, and that it was “Amazed” by the result. “It’s amazing how successful they’ve been in creating something that really stands out”, he adds, specifying that the functionality would be “almost on another level” than in competing PS5 games.
That makes you want, but at the same time, it would have been amazing to see the thinking face of Hell Let Loose say bad things about her baby. If you feel like trying it out for yourself, we remind you that it is available on PS5 via PlayStation Plus, so take advantage of it.
