Public works: Algeria is preparing to launch internationally

This Monday, September 19, 2022, the 18th International Exhibition of Public Works took place, on this occasion the Minister of Public Works, Hydraulics and Basic Infrastructure, Lakhdar Rakhroukh, delivered a speech on behalf of the Prime minister, Aimene Benabderrahmane. According to the latter: “Algerian institutions benefit from formidable technical capacities and capacities that they have acquired during more than sixty years of achievements, which will enable them to win projects abroad”. This is “in line with the desire to diversify the national economy in our country”, he adds.

Benabderrahmane also underlined the role played by the public works sector and basic infrastructure as “a pillar of the economy and an engine of development par excellence”, stressing that “a country which is characterized by its development and its performance economic is that which has efficient infrastructure networks, participates in the structuring and development of its territory and the facilitation of the processes of exchange and circulation of people and goods, which ensures an effective development and sustainable which makes it eligible to enter the field of competition at the regional and international levels. »

The Prime Minister’s speech also hailed “the progress made by thousands of engineers and technicians graduating from various schools and universities, which have enabled the construction of numerous modernization and development projects for the country’s basic infrastructure”. Benabderrahmane believes that the 18th International Exhibition of Public Works, organized as part of the celebration of the sixtieth anniversary of Algeria’s independence, is “an appropriate station to measure the extent of progress in the sector, whether in the area of ​​roads, highways, technical installations, ports or airports”.

An important meeting that allows for exchanges and partnerships

This event is also an “important occasion for the national means of realization and studies, and an opportunity to be seized to engage in fruitful partnerships and exchanges with the new technologies known in the field all over the world, which will undoubtedly improve doubts the capacities of our national means in the process of realization at the national and regional levels”.

To conclude, regarding Qatar’s participation in the Show as guest of honour, the Prime Minister stressed that it was an “excellent opportunity” to strengthen cooperation between the two countries and “make it more active and promising in areas of common interest, in particular the public works sector.

By stating that Algeria maintains “high-level” relations with Qatar in various fields, “which are characterized by brotherhood and mutual respect, in accordance with the directives of the leaders of the two countries, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and His Highness the Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, who are working to establish strong and distinct relations, serving the common interests of the two brotherly countries.
