Quinteros has five victories against the U with four different teams

This Sunday, Colo Colo was left with version 190 of Chilean soccer Superclásico after defeating the University of Chile 3-1 at the El Teniente stadium, within the framework of matchday 22 of the 2021 National Championship.

With this result, the Popular reached 43 units and escaped at the top of the leaderboard. The albos took him out five points of difference to Unión La Calera and Eight to Catholic University.

Notably of the 190 duels against the blues in the first division, the Cacique prevailed in 87, on 55 occasions ended in a draw and alone 48 with wins for the blues. To this we must add that the university cast does not know of triumphs since 2013.

But not only the Eternal Champion has favorable numbers against the archrival, since Gustavo Quinteros also knows of important victories against the university team when he was in command of East Oil, Emelec, Catholic University and now with Colo Colo.

The Santa Fe’s first triumph came in the first phase of the 2010 South American Cup when he was in command of the Bolivian cast. In that contest, Quinteros eliminated the national team after drawing 2 to 2 in the first leg and defeating them by the minimum count in the second leg.

Five years later, when he was in charge of Emelec, he beat Universidad de Chile 1-0 at the start of Group 4 of the Copa Libertadores at the National Stadium. The only goal of the game was converted by Miler Bolaños in the second half.

In 2019 the festivities continued for the DT, beating U 4-0 decisively, this time in command of UC. The goals were scored by José Pedro Fuenzalida, Edson Puch, Duvier Riascos and Luciano Aued.

The victories most remembered by the colocolinos occurred this year. The first came on the fifth date of the National Championship, in the match that ended 1-0 in favor of Colo Colo with a goal from Leonardo Gil in the 72nd minute. And with today’s, he added his fifth win against the University of Chile.
