The ‘Marca’ is again dedicated to the personality of Antonio Rüdiger. As the trade journal based in the Spanish capital reports, the central defender from Chelsea is at the top of Real Madrid’s wish list. Rüdiger is so interesting for the royal family for two reasons.
On the one hand, the ex-Stuttgart – as of today – is available free of charge in the summer. And because Real also has other big names with high salaries in their sights with Kylian Mbappé, Erling Haaland and Paul Pogba, an inexpensive signing of Rüdiger would be a sensible proposition for the Madrilenians.
Comfortable negotiating position
Because the current season shows: the back of the shoe pinches. Which brings us to the second argument in favor of the German national player. At the age of 28 and with positions in Germany, Italy and England, Rüdiger is a seasoned player who, at the same time, still has a few years ahead of him at the highest level. The native of Berlin could directly stabilize the sometimes holey defense of Real. The Spanish record champions are looking for exactly such reinforcement.
In the end, Rüdiger himself decides where the journey goes. An extension at Chelsea is also not off the table. Speaking for the blues: With Thomas Tuchel he has a trainer there who relies fully on him and who has brought him back into top form. Munich and Madrid are also attractive destinations. If you have the choice, you are spoiled for choice.
