Parallel to this model will be a more affordable variant known as the “Redmi K50 Gaming Standard Edition” under the codename “Rubens”. This device has been listed on the IMEI as “22041211AC” and has technical name “L11A”.

It is speculated that the “cheap” version of the series will feature the supposed MediaTek Dimensity 7000 chipset, not yet officially presented. In addition, there will be a 64 MP Samsung ISOCELL GW3 sensor as the main camera among its triple set. It is likely that this model will not be launched globally and will remain limited to China.

The affordable variant has its MIUI version developed this month, while the standard model has been in an advanced stage since October. The Redmi K50 Gaming family is expected to be released in April 2022, according to the sources, but it is worth noting that the Chinese manufacturer has not commented on the matter, so the information should be treated as rumour.
