Singer Renaud returned to the stage on Tuesday evening in Avignon. A prelude to the 40-concert tour announced on Monday.

The voice is wavering, but the public is there. Renaud returned to the stage on Tuesday evening in Avignon. Sometimes seated, sometimes standing, the singer assured the show in front of a conquered audience. “The voice, who cares, we will sing for him”, assures a fan at the microphone of BFMTV. Some have even crossed France to see their idol on stage.

Worried at first, Renaud quickly gained confidence, carried by an orchestra made up of strings, an accordion and a piano. He thus provided a little less than 1h30 of show. To the surprise of his audience, who expected to sing in his place, Renaud interpreted the great classics of his repertoire – Mistral Gagnanyou, As soon as the wind blows, Manu, Ball at the Embassy– despite his voice problems.
