2000 guests of honor from all over the world, 500 royals and over 30 heads of government Queen Elizabeth II († 96) paid her last respects on Monday in Westminster Abbey in London. An absolute spectacle, because: This kind of gathering of a number of high-ranking personalities from all over the world has not existed for decades.
In addition to political celebrities, such as US President Joe Biden (79), Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau (50) and French President Macron (44), the royals of the European royal families also made their way to Great Britain. King Felipe (54) and Queen Letizia of Spain (50), King Carl Gustaf of Sweden (76) with his Silvia (78), Willem-Alexander, King of the Netherlands (55) and his wife, Queen Máxima (51).
Margrethe, Queen of Denmark (82) also paid her last respects to the Queen, accompanied by her son, Crown Prince Frederik (54).
The old Kingsguard also paid tribute to their longtime companion. The ex-Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands made the trip to London at the age of 84, as did Juan Carlos I (84) from Spain and his wife Sofia from Greece (83).
