Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Watch 5: prices revealed ahead of time

If you were waiting for the release of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 or Z Flip 4 to fall for a folding smartphone from Samsung, you will have to get your hands on the wallet. Indeed, rumors of a price increase are growing. What raise the eyebrows of consumers.

Will Samsung really raise the prices of its folding smartphones?

Next Wednesday, Samsung gives us an appointment for an Unpacked event. The opportunity for the South Korean manufacturer to unveil new products such as two new folding smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Galaxy Z Flip 4, or its new connected watch, the Galaxy Watch 5.

Unfortunately, yet another leak on social networks points to a price increase for most of these products compared to their predecessors. Of course, nothing is official for the moment and we must therefore take this information with very large tweezers. All the same, the rumors are growing and as they say, there is no smoke without fire.

Already last week, the potential price hike of Samsung’s next folding smartphones was at the heart of the debate. It doesn’t seem like it’s going to stop anytime soon. Not until we have the official announcement.

Thus, according to a Twitter user, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 will not be the only ones to suffer a price increase. Indeed, the Galaxy Watch 5 connected watch would also be affected. The leaked pricing grid is pretty consistent.

Thus, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 should be marketed at 1799 euros and 1919 euros, depending on the storage capacity of the car. Note that when it was released, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 was displayed at 1799 euros for the 256 GB version and at 1899 euros for the 512 GB model. If the price would remain unchanged for the 256 GB model, Samsung would be happy to 20 euros for the largest storage capacity. Regarding the Galaxy Z Flip 4, it would be available at 1109 euros for the 128 GB version and at 1169 euros if you prefer the 256 GB model. Its predecessor was respectively 50 euros and 60 euros less when it was launched.

When the Galaxy Z Fold 3 was launched last year, Samsung bet on lowering its price. The idea was to convince consumers. However, today, this resolution seems well behind him. Rightly so, perhaps. If sales of folding smartphones were not convincing two years ago, they have finally taken off in recent months. This could explain the desire of the South Korean manufacturer to increase the prices of its new models.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch should not be spared from this inflation. Indeed, it would be launched from 299 euros. This represents 30 euros more than the current commercially available range. The reason ? It would be much more efficient than its predecessor. Thus, it should be entitled to a charge twice as fast as well as a significant gain in autonomy.
