Apparently, summer newcomer number 13 has gone online for FC Schalke. As transfer insider Fabrizio Romano reports, the newly promoted Bundesliga team is about to sign center forward Jordan Larsson. The driving force was sports director Rouven Schröder, who absolutely wanted the player.
Larsson is expected in Germany in the next 24 hours to take care of the last details such as the medical check. The 25-year-old Swede (seven senior internationals) comes to Schalke on a free transfer. At the end of June, his contract with Spartak Moscow was terminated by mutual agreement.
He scored 27 goals in 83 games for the Russians. The left foot is the son of Henrik Larsson (50), who made a name for himself in 104 caps and scored many goals for Celtic Glasgow, Feyenoord Rotterdam and FC Barcelona.
