Sennheiser announces Momentum 4, a new Bluetooth headphone with ANC

The Sennheiser Momentum 4 is the newest headphone in the Momentum line from the traditional German audio equipment manufacturer. The information came officially through the news section of the company’s website, where it is said that there has been a complete overhaul of the headphone design, the improvement in sound quality and an increase in battery life, which it will now offer. up to 60h of continuous playback on a single charge.

The Momentum 4’s 42mm drivers are slightly angled so the sound is channeled a little forward for a more natural soundstage. In addition, according to Sennheiser, the quality of voice capture by the microphones during calls has been optimized.

totally new design

According to Sennheiser, the Momentum 4 has a lighter design than its predecessor and at the same time a better acoustic shape for superior sound performance. However, unfortunately, even though the company claims that there will be good comfort for several hours, the ear pads (“cushions”) are not made of genuine leather as in the Momentum 3, but of synthetic leather.

The company claims that the new ear pads will improve both sound performance and active noise canceling (ANC). [1]. However, it is known that, in most cases, synthetic leather ear pads are not durable and begin to peel after some time, even if well cared for by the user.
