One of the most significant changes to the school regulations of the Ministry of Public Education was announced by the Secretary of Education of Michoacán, Yarabí Ávila González, who indicated that for this 2022-2023 school year, basic level students in her state will not they will have to wear their school uniforms, this due to the ravages of inflation that together with the COVID-19 pandemic caused their prices to rise by up to 30%.
Regarding private schools, they will have to define whether or not they will make uniforms mandatory this period.
On the other hand, the National Council to Prevent Discrimination (CONAPRED) recently announced that students may go with natural or dyed, long or short hair, so that they are not victims of discrimination.
Although, that is not all, in Veracruz new changes were announced that will affect the uniform, since it will be neutral, hence the boys will no longer be required to wear pants and girls skirts, as revealed by Zenyazen Escobar García, Secretary of Education of that state.
