Witness accounts, which have not yet been officially confirmed, indicate that the night manager of the establishment shot a woman in the head, killed several employees in the break room, fired more shots in the grocery area, and then removed his life.
The Police were alerted to the events at 10:12 p.m. local time on Tuesday, when the Walmart supermarket was still open.
Forty emergency vehicles traveled to the place, where a huge police operation was also deployed.
The authorities asked those who were in the area and the relatives of the people who could have been in the supermarket at that moment to go to the convention center of the town.
In a statement released in the early hours of this Wednesday, Walmart assured that it was “shocked” by the event and indicated that it will work in collaboration with the security forces.
