Culiacán, Sinaloa, July 30, 2022.- During the first quarter of 2022, Sinaloa registered a 2.5% growth in its economic activity according to data from the INEGI Quarterly Indicator of State Economic Activity.

Compared to the same period (first quarter of 2021), Sinaloa had a growth of 2.5%, ranking #14, a performance above the 1.6% registered nationally.

The first places are occupied by them; Tabasco, Baja California Sur and Quintana Roo with 12.6%, 12.1% and 10.2% respectively.

For the Secretary of Economy of Sinaloa, Javier Gaxiola Coppel, this growth figure of 2.5% indicates a positive evolution in the various economic activities of the state compared to the same quarter of 2021.

The economic activities that support the 2.5% growth in Sinaloa in the first quarter of 2022 according to INEGI ITAEE figures are mainly based on the primary sector (6.1% position 9) due to the recovery in agricultural activity; in the secondary activity (2.9% position 19) its growth is essentially due to a good performance in the construction and generation, transmission and distribution of electrical energy and in the tertiary activity (1.8% position 17) its growth is due to the impulse of the sector business and services.

In this way, growth is strengthened in the three sectors of the economy, for which the Government of Sinaloa will continue working to consolidate and continue advancing in investment projects, accompaniment and support for MSMEs and diversification of the economy through the industrial activity.
