From the upcoming 2022/23 Bundesliga season, Sky would like to offer its customers more – at least when it comes to audio. On Bundesliga Saturday, the “Tipico top game of the week” will also be broadcast with the immersive sound experience in Dolby Atmos. According to its own statements, Sky is the first broadcaster in Germany to bring Dolby Atmos to the viewer in a live sports broadcast. The DFL Group is responsible for the technical creation of the sound signal as part of the media production of all games. The prerequisite for using Dolby Atmos is a Sky-Q receiver and a Dolby Atmos-enabled end device. Dolby Atmos will then also be available on Sky Glass, Sky’s first streaming TV.
