Solar Ash postpones its release at the end of the year in extremis

Unfortunately, you are used to it: in recent months, postponements have multiplied in an industry hit hard by a damn crowned virus. And if many AAAs are impacted, the independents are not left out, like Solar Ash.

Those who have had the good taste to browse the pyschedelico-pixelated universe of Hyper Light Drifter when it was released in 2016 inevitably await with impatience and / or curiosity the new effort of the Heart Machine studio, led by Alx Preston. Unveiled in March 2019, Solar Ash (then decked out with the suffix “Kingdom”) had still charmed us no later than this summer during the Summer Game Fest, just to keep the flame of desire intact.

I slip away

But while the adventure edited by the good care of Annapurna was to embark us in its whirlwind of colors on October 26, Heart Machine has just announced the postponement of Solar Ash at the last minute, not without explaining the reasons for this somewhat belated decision:

Heart Machine and Annapurna Interactive have decided to postpone the release of Solar Ash until December 2, 2021. We want Solar Ash to shine, and we need a little more time to make the latest improvements and fix any bugs in the game, as our dedicated team continues to navigate this global pandemic. This short delay will help us achieve our goals.

We thank you for your understanding, and hope to see you soon in Ultravoid.

It will therefore be necessary to wait a few more weeks to find the singular universe already developed in Hyper Light Drifter, still available on iOS, Mac, PC, PS4, Switch and Xbox One, for those who would have missed it.

If no other adventures thwart the plans of Heart Machine and Annapurna, Solar Ash should therefore take us to visit the interior of a black hole on December 2 on PC, PS4 and PS5.
