"Spider-Man No Way Home": new poster and trailer with Doctor Strange and Octopus

The fans are crossing out the days for the arrival of “Spider-Man: No Way Home” in theaters, and each advance or data that is known is reason to generate new theories and speculations about what we will see in the third film of the trilogy of Jon Watts for Marvel Studios, which in turn will be the beginning of the multiverse.

In the last hours, a week after the premiere of the second trailer for the film -that we remember, it was presented at an event dedicated to fandom-, a new preview was released accompanied by another official poster. No, they do not appear nor Tobey Maguire ni Andrew Garfield but there is another glimmer of hope.

In the clip, which lasts only a few seconds, Doctor Strange asks Otto Octopus if he knows Peter Parker as Spider-Man, and he answers in the affirmative. While then he points to Tom Holland’s character: “Is that him?” And the villain denies it. Another clue that refers to Maguire, with whom they did share the universe in the trilogy directed by Sam Raimi, the first live action of the arachnid for Marvel.

Unlike the previous poster, in this one the figure of zendaya as MJ also stands out next to Holland’s and Benedict Cumberbatch as the Sorcerer Supreme, surrounded by the mechanical tentacles of Octopus and reality collapsing as we saw in the trailers. Already in a smaller size, Jamie Foxx like Electro and the Lizard, by Rhys Ifans. And pay attention to this: the figure of the Green Goblin (which was confirmed to be played by Willem Dafoe) appears with another costume or an alternative of the character.

Still with many doubts and many theories to be verified, “Spider-Man: No Way Home” the December 17 to close a full year of Marvel Studios productions, which was finally able to start its Phase 4 after a 2020 bacchante of premieres due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic and the impact on the film industry.

The film will be located 8 months after the events of “Avengers: Endgame” and the loss of his mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) that Peter still faces, that is, after the young man left on a study trip to Europe in “Spider-Man far from home” that closed with a shocking post-credits scene: that brought us the return of JK Simons revealing through Mystery (Jake Gyllenhaal) the secret identity of the hero.

To pass the wait, the first two episodes of “Hawkeye” are now available on the Disney Plus platform, which follow the avenger Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) and his encounter with Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld), who will continue her legacy.
