Star Wars: This new series is reportedly planned

Despite an almost endless galaxy, Star Wars fans can hardly save themselves from new series at the moment: After spectacular revelations in episode 5 Star Wars: Obi Wan Kenobi today with the final episode ended, while the leak around a new Star Wars animated series turned out to be Tales of the Jedi at the end of April.

now are new rumours surfaced, according to which next a series around Jedi Fallen Order protagonist Cal Kestis is in the making. The information is still vague and unconfirmed, but given the recent announcement of the sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, a series about the red-haired Jedi could certainly reach many fans.

Rumor: Star Wars series about Cal Kestis with an unsurprising choice of actors

The rumor comes from Kristian Harloff, who revealed on his YouTube channel that he was briefed on the upcoming Star Wars series by a source close to him. As already mentioned, the Cal Kestisthe protagonist from Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, who is said to be the Actor Cameron Monaghan will play:

“Rumors, rumors, rumors… I have to say this, it’s unconfirmed! I got this from someone I’ve trusted in the past and he told me it’s going to be… The rumor itself says that they are currently working on a series about Cal Kestis for Disney Plus [der Schauspieler Cameron Monaghan] signed on to play the Jedi: Fallen Order character in a live-action series for Disney Plus. There’s no production date yet, but my source says it’s happening.”

It doesn’t take much imagination to envision Monaghan in the role of Cal Kestis, given that the American actor has portrayed the Padawan in Jedi: Fallen Order and will also in the sequel Jedi: Survivor be in the lead role at the start. The sequel, which is scheduled for 2023, is set to take place five years after the first, and thus exactly between episodes 3 and 4 of the film series.
