It was the announcement we didn’t want to see, and yet it’s not one but two big games expected on Xbox in 2022 that have just been postponed.
Starfield and Redfall will be released in 2023
Bethesda has just posted a message on Twitter indicating that Arkane’s game Redfall as well as the highly anticipated Starfield have been pushed back to next year. Both games are said to arrive “in the first half” of 2023.
We have made the decision to push the releases of Redfall and Starfield to the first half of 2023.
The teams at Arkane Austin (Redfall) and Bethesda Game Studios (Starfield) have incredible ambitions for their games, and we want to make sure you have the best versions of these games.
This is inevitably a blow for Xbox Game Studios, but also and above all for the many players who were impatiently waiting to be able to get their hands on Starfield, the big end-of-year game at Xbox.
