Streaming Highlights: New this week on Netflix, Amazon & Disney+

The streaming services Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Disney+ are announcing more than 35 new films and series this week. Highlights include Andor, The Perfumer and Denver Clan. We’ll show you all platform restarts at a glance.

In the week from September 19th to 25th there will be a large number of films and series, but the real highlights can probably be counted on one hand these days. After the successful Tom Tykwer thriller The Perfume from 2006, Netflix dares to return to Patrick Süskind’s novel in The Perfumer, but this time as a crime thriller. Aside from that, the Denver clan (Dynasty) is heading into its fifth season, Patton Oswalt returns to the stand-up stage in a comedy special, and the young at heart can look forward to Pokémon: The Arceus Chronicles.

The Disney + program has significantly more clout this week. After various postponements, the Mickey Mouse group is finally showing the new Star Wars series Andor. Three episodes about the rebel agent, played by Diego Luna, will start on September 21st. Disney+ is also streaming the first season of Rookie Cops and new episodes of The Kardashians. Amazon Prime Video, on the other hand, includes the Italian drama series Prisma and The Exorcist and releases older titles for free (with advertising) via FreeVee.

If you want to look further into the future, you will find the links to all September highlights of the streaming platforms in the lower part of this article.
