Strong earthquake in Mexico

A large earthquake shakes Mexico on Monday evening and leads to the danger of tsunami waves, American reports Pacific Tsunami Warning Center.

Especially in the capital, Mexico City, several of the residents are said to have felt major tremors in buildings, which has led to more people gathering in the streets.

– An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.5 hit the coast of La Placita de Morelos in western Mexico, says the earthquake center US Geological Survey (USGS), which is an American administrative agency under the Ministry of the Interior.

The earthquake had an epicenter 41 kilometers southeast of La Placita de Morelos on the country’s Pacific coast.

The earthquake is said to have had a depth of 10 kilometers and occurred on the same date as two other similar earthquakes back in 1985 and 2017, the news agency writes AFP.

The extent of the damage is still unclear.
