The young Franco-Algerian left side, Yasser Larouci, has received a summons to the France U23 team. This could well take him away from the Greens.
And yet expected to join the Algerian national team, Yasser Larouci has just been called up to the France U23 team. His remarkable performances with ES Troyes AC did not go unnoticed by the coach of the young Blues, Sylvain Ripoll, who decided to retain him to replace Adrien Truffet. The latter was called up to selection A by Didier Deschamps.
The ex-resident of Liverpool is therefore concerned by the internship of the France U23 team during this Fifa date. He will play the two friendlies, respectively against Germany and Belgium.
Is Larouci moving away from Algeria?
Like Houssem Aouar, Yacine Adli or Amine Gouiri, to name a few, Yasser Larouci was one of the players announced by several Algerian media to join the national team from this month of September. But it remains to be seen whether he is part of Djamel Belmadi’s plans, given that the latter has the king’s choice on the left flank with the presence of Ramy Bensebaini, Ahmed Touba or even Yanis Hamache.
A native of El-Oued, the young 21-year-old left-back has already expressed his desire to represent the Greens at the international level. But, apparently, and being a French international in the selections of young categories, he has not yet started the procedures to change his sporting nationality, as Belmadi confirmed during his last press conference on the subject of dual nationals, without citing names.
Now that he has received a new summons to the France U23 team, the player could move away from the Algerian selection. It remains to be seen now if the officials of the FAF will return to the charge to convince the resident of ESTAC to opt for the Fennecs.
