Suspicion of rape of minors: justice rejects the request for release of Jean-Luc Lahaye

INFO BFMTV – Indicted for rape of minors, the singer of French variety has been imprisoned since November 5. He is demanding his release, saying he suffers from his conditions of detention.

Justice opposes an end of inadmissibility to the singer. Incarcerated since November 5, Jean-Luc Lahaye made a request for release, a request rejected by the investigating chamber of the Paris Court of Appeal on November 18, BFMTV learned on Thursday from concordant sources.

The 66-year-old singer is indicted for rape on two teenage girls aged 16 and 17 at the time of the facts, between 2013 and 2015. They accuse Jean-Luc Lahaye of forced sexual relations, but also the fact of having asked them to undress in front of a camera on the Internet. At the time, they had both filed a complaint before retracting. The plaintiffs relaunched the proceedings earlier this year, triggering the opening of a new preliminary investigation.

Poor conditions of detention

Incarcerated in the Health prison, Jean-Luc Lahaye says he suffers from his conditions of detention. The singer, already convicted in 2015 for “corruption of minors” is placed alone in a cell, located in a district that he shares with Georges Tron, the former mayor of Draveil convicted of rape, and Jean-Luc Brunet, the Epstein’s ex-supporter also indicted for rape.
