Colo Colo showed off an unbeatable opportunity to move away in the leadership after drawing 1-1 against Unión La Calera, in a match valid for date 18 of the 2021 National Championship and which was played at the Nicolás Chahuán stadium.
The albos took the lead before the minute of play due to an own goal by Víctor González Chang and had several chances to increase in the first half. However, they allowed themselves to be in the second half and the cement producers equalized through Pedro Sánchez.
With this result, the Cacique remains at the top of the standings with 34 points, maintaining its two-unit advantage over La Calera. However, Universidad Católica can cut the gap if it defeats Ñublense.
Now those led by Gustavo Quinteros will have to leave this bitter tie behind and focus on their next challenge against Cobresal at the Monumental stadium.
