Terminator arrives with Season 4 to Call of Duty: Warzone

The popular battle royale Call of Duty: WarzoneThe indie title that was originally a mode for 2019’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is getting another celebrity. Warzone is no stranger to iconic guest characters, as several have already made their appearance in the game.

Since its launch in 2019 alongside the reboot of the series Modern Warfare, war zone has taken on a life of its own. The popular battle royale is free-to-play, and the season battle pass has cinematic icons in the form of skins like Rambo or John McClane. The last additional skin for players was “Mechagodzilla”, which was released on the occasion of the third season of Warzone.

facing the Season 4, Mercenaries of Fortune, a new skin has been announced for players. This time, action crossover brings Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Terminator to battle royale. Season 4 officially kicks off today, but fans won’t be able to play the iconic character until mid-season. When the Terminator pack is available, both versions of the character, the original T-800 and the upgraded T-1000, will be offered.

In other news related to the new season of war zonedeveloper Raven Software has stated that the Season 4 of Warzone will introduce a map rotation system. This was announced in response to fan fears that the popular Warzone map Rebirth Island was going to be removed from the title at the start of the new season.

Additionally, Warzone 2 is set to release sometime in the latter months of 2022, however one key piece of information about the sequel is likely not to please players as it has been announced that all items players have earned in the original Warzone will not carry over to the sequel. This news may discourage some players, as they invest hours and hours in the game to unlock items.
