73 percent of the people who voted “yes” are supporters of the Greens, closely followed by the Social Democrats. Most of the votes against Ukraine joining the EU came from the AfD camp. There, 88 percent voted against the country joining.
There is no clear trend in the age of the respondents. In both the 18 to 29 age group, half of respondents are in favor of joining, while around 40 percent are against. The results for older people are very similar, with slightly less undecided results.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said he hopes that the EU summit of heads of state and government at the end of June will then grant his country candidate status. Even if this does not mean “immediate membership”, it would be an important decision for his country.
