Having achieved the goal of winning the Chile Cup 2021, Colo Colo still has the grand prize of this season, consecrated in the National Championship, a contest where he currently shares the lead with Audax Italiano in the absence of a large part of the second round.
Fortunately for the albos the load of matches will drop considerably compared to what we saw a few weeks agoBecause of his participation in the Chile Cup, he had to play several games with a few days off.
Between August 14 and September 4, Gustavo Quinteros’ team played seven games in 22 days, being three for the Chile Cup and four for the National Championship. In simple words it is a game every three days.
Now the load will drop considerably between September 8 and 26 of the same month, since he will only play matches for the tournament, something necessary considering that the rest and preparation time will be key to escape a little in the leadership.
First those led by Quinteros will play tomorrow Wednesday against O’Higgins in El Teniente starting at 6:00 p.m., then before Everton at the Monumental next Tuesday 14 (7:00 p.m.) and finally the Superclásico with Universidad de Chile in Rancagua on Sunday 26.
There will be three matches for the tournament in 18 days that will undoubtedly serve to rest and prepare in the best way for the next challenge. Who knows, maybe a large part of the title the Cacique will play in the coming weeks.
