Judge Jorge Chávez’s decision allows the aforementioned companies to be considered as an investigated party, not only to face direct compensation responsibilities, but also to face criminal sanctions.

In this way, the Judiciary has given companies five days “for their corporate body to appoint a legal representative different from the natural persons who are being investigated in this case, under penalty of judicially appointing him in the event of do it and report it within the established period”.

The Public Ministry based its request on the fact that there are links that connect legal persons with actions of facilitation, favoring or concealment of the punishable act, having been instrumentalized for the commission of the crimes under investigation.

For the Lava Jato special team, acts of corruption would have been committed during the management of Villarán de la Puente in which they would have participated, in addition to officials of the Municipality of Lima, representatives of the company Línea Amarilla SAC and Constructora OAS SA Sucursal del Perú , linked to the execution stage of the Yellow Line project.
