To the recent in-depth analysis of the PS Blog on the wonders of the Photo mode of The Last of Us Part 1, Naughty Dog accompanies the notes of Patch 1.02 just launched on PlayStation 5, thanks to which numerous corrections and optimizations are made to the re-release of the post-apocalyptic blockbuster.
Scrolling through the update notes that port TLOU Part 1 to version 1.02 let’s discover the interventions made by Naughty Dog to improve the gaming experience of Joel and Ellie’s emulators. Among the ‘major changes’ made by the Californian subsidiary of PlayStation Studios, interventions are cited to solve cases of interpenetration of the visual geometries on the screen at the exit of certain observation points.
In addition to closing these annoying graphics artifacts, Patch 1.02 also brings some major changes to the Loyalty mode: Once the update is installed, players can unlock the framerate even without owning a VRR compatible TV. The update also takes care to update the description of the Performance and Loyalty modes, in order to offer more information to the user; finally, minor problems in lighting and audio are solved in a sequence of the final chapter, as well as in the use of the photographic mode.
