Two years ago, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan decided to break with the British royal family. The shipment went to the United States, leaving behind a frosty relationship with most members of the royal family.

The relationship was not improved by the fact that Meghan and Harry did an interview with the television icon Oprah Winfrey and spoke about the turbulent time that characterized the stay in Great Britain.

Since then, the couple has had to endure a lot of hate on social media and in the British press they have often been described in anything but positive terms.

Harry’s somber words about tough times

In an interview with James Corden in The Late Late Show came Prince Harry with a hard-hitting message about his past life and delivered a real boot to the British royal house and British media.

– I did what every married man and father would do. I needed to get my family out of there, Prince Harry said, continuing:

– It was a tough environment. We all know how the British press can be. It destroyed my mental health.

The anger after the sweater picture on Meghan

Several conspiracy theories about Meghan have also circulated online. When Queen Elizabeth died, a picture of her in a sweater with the quote “The queen is dead” started to spread.

But the photo was doctored – and Meghan never wore the shirt. According to the site Leadstories (link to & Other Stories) it was The Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr who first posted the photo, which was published three days after the pair’s interview with Oprah.

In connection with Queen Elizabeth’s death, the image gained new life and began to spread on social media. The AFP news agency has attempted to reach Buckingham Palace for comment.
