The teaser trailer of Django, a new series inspired by Corbucci’s cult western

It will be presented as a world premiere at the Rome Film Fest (scheduled from Thursday 13 to Sunday 23 October) Django, the awaited original series Sky and CANAL + that freely and in a contemporary way reinterprets the homonymous classic western by Sergio Corbucci. Filmed entirely in English, the first four episodes are directed by Francesca Comencini (Gomorrah – The series), also artistic director of the series, while the following episodes are directed by David Evans (Downton Abbey) and from Enrico Maria Artale (Romulus). Filming took place in Romania, between Racos, Bucharest and the Danube area.

The series will debut in 2023 exclusively on Sky and streaming only on NOW in all countries where Sky is present, and on CANAL + in France, Switzerland, Benelux and Africa. Matthias Schoenaerts plays the iconic title character, alongside Nicholas Pinnock as John Ellis, the visionary founder of New Babylon, to Lisa Vicariwho in the series is Sarah, Django’s daughter, ea Noomi Rapace as Ellis’ powerful and ruthless enemy, Elizabeth Thurman. Django is an Italian-French co-production created and written by Leonardo Fasoli (Gomorrah – The Series, ZeroZeroZero) And Maddalena Ravagli (Gomorrah – The Series), both also co-authors of the series subject along with Francesco Cenni And Michele Pellegrini.
