Mexico City.- In their intention to reach the northern border of the country, six migrants of Honduran nationality hid in new cars transported by a trailer-nurse.
However, they were detected in Palenque, Chiapas, and detained by elements of the National Migration Institute (INM).
An INM report specifies that the insured migrants are three adults and three minors, who were discovered in a routine check.
At the migration control point in Palenque, Chiapas, INM troops stopped a trailer that was transporting new cars, for which they carried out an inspection of the vehicles.
During the review, carried out at the Border Transit Comprehensive Attention Center (CAITF), he found the six migrants.
“They were lying on top of the reclining seats of different cars anchored on the rails of the mother trailer,” the report states.
“They did not have documents to prove their regular stay in national territory.”
The Hondurans were sent to INM facilities, while the driver of the trailer, as well as the transport unit, were placed at the disposal of the Attorney General’s Office in Palenque.
