CDMX.- The Secretary of the Navy reported that the insurance policy that covered the crash of the Black Hawk helicopter used to capture Rafael Caro Quintero was 29.7 million pesos.

The accident occurred on July 15, 2022, when the aircraft arrived in Los Mochis from Choix, in Sinaloa, after the naval operation.

In an information response, the Navy reported that the insurer covered with 29.7 million pesos the crash of the helicopter that cost the lives of 14 soldiers and left one injured.

He added that from 2005 to August 2022 he recorded the fall of six planes and 10 helicopters.

In September, the Attorney General’s Office announced that, based on the results of the forensic analysis carried out and the information extracted by the manufacturer of the black box, the crash of the aircraft was due to a lack of gasoline.

“In the investigation folder there is an opinion on explosion fires, which indicates that there was no attack of an external nature, nor any explosion by any device foreign to the aircraft,” he said.

The founder of the Guadalajara Cartel was arrested around 12:50 p.m., after being discovered by the dog “Max” who sniffed him hidden in a bush. According to the official report, the capo was alone, without accomplices.

Caro Quintero was transferred in a Navy helicopter with the support of another Black Hawk in which 15 Navy infantrymen were traveling. It is the latter who had an accident after a few minutes.
