It’s confirmed: no OnePlus 9T will be released in 2022. The next OnePlus flagship is therefore scheduled for 2022.
While we learn that the OxygenOS interface will disappear in 2022 in favor of a unified experience with ColorOS, another major announcement comes to shake OnePlus fans. The brand confirms that there will be no OnePlus 9T this year.
As a reminder, this summer there were already noise from the hallway evoking the absence of the OnePlus 9T. The information is now certain. “This year we will not be launching a T series product”, Declared Pete Lau, the co-founder of the firm.
it is not a surprise
Several hypotheses can explain this decision. We think in particular of the fact that there were not necessarily major changes to be made on a OnePlus 9T compared to the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro while recalling that the OnePlus 8T remains a great deal today.
In addition, OnePlus has led efforts in other segments of the market by releasing a few smartphones in its North range. Finally, the merger well underway between the OnePlus and Oppo brands very probably weighs in this strategic decision.
