120 gymnasts from the Göfis gymnastics club performed enthusiastically at the gymnastics ball
GOFIS The Göfis Turnerschaft presented a real spectacle at the Turnerball weekend 2023. 120 gymnasts presented a varied program that included all age groups of the gymnastics in an imaginative way.
The start of the versatile evening was designed by the girls of gymnastics, who not only hit a number of wheels, but also proved their talent in other ways. Now it was the turn of the children from the age of six from the group “Children on the Move”, who performed great dances to the children’s film “Encanto”. The gymnastics boys proved that they are all real karate kids. The 1980s cult film “Flashdance” was then enthusiastically shown by sports gymnastics from the age of 13.
During the break, tickets were sold for the raffle, where there were great prizes to be won. Afterwards, the young people from the age of 14 from the club gymnastics presented their acrobatic talent. For the tenth anniversary, Sportgymnastik Jugend revived the “Teen Beach Movie” and with it the wild sixties. In the following performance “The Mysterious Island”, apparatus gymnastics from the age of 14 not only showed imaginative costumes, but also a great program with throws, daring jumps and acrobatic lifting figures. At the end it got emotional again, because the carnival group presented the popular jukebox musical “I am from Austria” with the great hits of the songwriter Reinhard Fendrich.
A number of visitors followed the gymnastics demonstrations in the sports hall, which was full on both evenings, including mayors Thomas LampertDeputy Mayor Sandra Volenterthe Frastanz Deputy Mayor Michaela Gort and numerous more. chairman Klaus Schmid led through the colorful program and thanked the many gymnasts in the individual groups for their talented performances.
