Lhe government of the Balearic Islands, which includes the famous island of Ibiza, wants to tackle abusive parties. It has just decided on measures to limit excesses.

Strict new conditions have been enacted for tourists. Individuals could be fined up to several thousand euros. The changes are numerous and important: “happy-hours” will no longer be authorized, the sale of alcohol in stores will be limited. It will also be forbidden to organize a pub crawl.

Tourists opting for the all-inclusive formula will only be entitled to 6 drinks per day (3 in the morning and 3 in the evening). These rules apply to holidaymakers traveling to Ibiza, as well as the areas of Playa de Palma, El Arenal, Magaluf and the western district of Sant Antoni de Portmany.

In addition to these rules concerning alcohol, it is now also forbidden to jump from balconies.
