Tropical storm Grace: report failures in the electricity supply in Mérida

According to the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE), about 55 thousand users are being affected by failures in the electricity supply.

Elements of the SSP are working to remove fallen trees from power lines.

According to a report issued by the governor of Yucatán, Mauricio Vila Dosal, the CFE Nacional reported that the main impacts are registered in the municipalities of Acanceh, Chankom, Chemax, Chichimilá, Chikindzonot, Kanasín, Kaua, Mérida, Peto, Progreso, Río Lagartos, Tahdziú, Tekax, Tekom, Temozón, Umán and Valladolid.

It is worth mentioning that before the onslaught of the tropical storm and the failures presented, the federal agency is alert to restore the service as soon as the weather conditions allow it.

Several colonies of Mérida report failures in the electrical power supply in the east, north, west and south of the city.

Neighbors of San José Tecoh report that since 8 in the morning they said they do not have electricity service.

In addition to power supply failures, internet service failures are also reported.

In some areas such as eastern Mérida, fallen Telmex poles have been reported.
