Bayer Leverkusen is looking for a new goalkeeper. “It’s clear that we’re looking around as Andrey Lunev’s contract is expiring”, confirms sports director Simon Rolfes to kicker. Lunev is currently the number two for the Werkself behind Lukas Hradecky.
The Finnish captain made numerous mistakes in the first half of the season. So it’s not surprising that Bayer isn’t just looking for a new backup, but a goalkeeper who can compete with the 32-year-old Hradecky.

‘Sky’ recently brought Philipp Köhn (24) from RB Salzburg into play as an option. The Swiss world championship driver should cost ten million euros. According to the ‘kicker’, however, he would only sign as the clear number one for a new club.
It is unclear whether this also applies to Vladan Kovacevic (24). The ‘kicker’ is the first to associate the Bosnian’s name with Bayer. Kovacevic is number one at the Polish first division club Rakow Czestochowa and is under Leverkusen observation there.
