Two kitchens caught fire just a few meters apart in the north of Dortmund. One man died in one of the fires.
A quarter, two fires: Within a few hours, the Dortmund north town two kitchens burned out. The fire sites are only a few meters apart.
the first kitchen burned on Tuesday at 4.30 p.m. in the Blücherstrasse: Neighbors had called the fire brigade because thick smoke was coming out of a window facing the inner courtyard. In the apartment on the 2nd floor, the rescue workers found a resident – he was lying lifeless in the kitchen, explains spokesman Oliver Körner. After lengthy attempts at resuscitation, he was taken to the hospital. there died him in the evening.
the second kitchen burned on Wednesday morning around 9.30 a.m. in the parallel Schützenstraße/Corner of Mallinckrodstraße: On the ground floor, the kitchen was completely on fire. The fire department had to family from the 3rd floor through the smoky stairwell to the outside. Other residents had managed to get out through the thick smoke on their own – two of them came in with suspected smoke poisoning hospital.
