It was during E3 2021 that Ubisoft unveiled Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. Since then, we have heard little about the game – which is based on James Cameron’s film series – but according to the developer, the plan is still to release it within the next year.
IN its latest quarterly report Ubisoft barely touched on the launch plans for the financial year 2022. Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is still on the list, and given that the team can avoid delays, it will thus be seen by 31 March.
The next film in the Avatar series will be released on December 14 here in Norway, and on December 16 elsewhere in the world. Several have wondered if the game will potentially be launched around the same time, to create as much buzz as possible.
Pirates, Mario and Rabbids
In addition to the upcoming Avatar game, Ubisoft highlighted both Skull & Bones and Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, both of which are expected to arrive before April 1.
The latter – a sequel to the powerful Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle – was also shown for the first time during last year’s Ubisoft summer show. The pirate game Skull & Bones, on the other hand, has been in a lot of trouble, including several postponements and major changes since the game was first unveiled in 2017.
