A tight match was played tonight at the CAP stadium in Talcahuano in the match between Huachipato vs Unión Española for the second leg of the 2021 Chile Cup quarterfinals.
The Hispanics defeated the Steelers 1-0 and advanced to the semifinals of this cup where they will meet Colo Colo on August 18 at 5:00 p.m. at the Monumental stadium.
Unión Española’s goal was the work of Thomas Galdames. This goal put the aggregate score of 2-1 in favor of those from Plaza Chacabuco, who went out to find the game with their best team.
The Hispanic team came out with an eleven National Championship starter, while Huachipato’s lineup was a mix of starters and substitutes. In fact, a large part of those who are more constant in the southern champion entered the second half.
Unión Española will be Colo Colo’s rival in Copa Chile
With this result, Colo Colo will face Unión Española three times in August. The first game will be this Saturday at 4:30 p.m. for the National Championship, the second will be on the 18 at 5:00 p.m. for the first leg of the Copa Chile semifinals, while the return is not scheduled.
